We had a few Robin's nest in our yard. This particular one was in the machinery shed, less than 4' off of the ground. Amazingly, they all survived and were not found by any predators. I took pictures of them every day, with the momma watching me very closely. Sometimes, she tried to dive bomb me as I was leaving the area.

Updates
I have not posted in a while, but did not realize that it has been this long. We've been so busy with work and our yard, that personal computer time is not very common. Here are some pictures of what we've been up to lately. Hope you enjoy!
This is a bench that my father in law (Charlie) built for us around one of my favorite trees. It turned out so much better than what I had asked for! He's an awesome builder and an even better Father in Law! I think he'd have a little more free time if I did not come up with so many projects! :-)

More Baby Chick Pictures
I think having the chicks in the house - and in the office - is both a good & a bad idea. Good, because we can watch them and make sure that they are warm enough and have enough food & water. Bad, because they are very distracting to me! The cats were locked in the basement most of the afternoon and now that they are out, they can't get enough of the chicks! They will be locked out of the office tonight and hopefully the chicks will be able to rest peacefully.
I will be adding more pictures often, I really regret not taking more pictures when our other chicks were little, so be sure to check back often!

Blue Pike Farm Update 03/30/09
A message from Blue Pike Farm...
Have you ever wondered how to transplant onions or other vegetables in your garden? Well Bunky now is your chance to learn from the bros.
That's right, the bros here at Blue Pike Farm are offering FREE transplant opportunities for a select few special folk just like you. This Saturday (4/04/09 ) and the 2 Saturdays following we will have shipments of onions that need to get in the ground A.S.A.P. This FREE workshop is open to all life long learners who might enjoy getting some dirt under their fingernails.
We'll start at the crack of noon and work until we get all 1,200 or so onions in the ground. This is a great family activity too. CSA members may want to help out too!
Bring your work gloves, a great attitude and a camera. You'll definitely want photo documentation of this special event.
Saturday's forecast: Becoming mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. It doesn't get much better than that.
